Open Access Policy

JWA follows an Open Access publishing model, making all research articles freely available to the public upon publication. This policy is designed to promote the dissemination of high-quality research to a wide audience, increasing the visibility and impact of scholarly work in pharmaceutical sciences and clinical pharmacy.

1. Access to Published Articles

  • All articles published in JWA are immediately accessible to readers worldwide without subscription or payment.

  • Articles are available under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license. This allows users to freely read, download, distribute, and share articles, provided they are not used commercially and the original authors are properly credited.

2. Benefits of Open Access

  • Increased Visibility and Impact: Open access articles are more likely to be cited and read, leading to greater academic and professional recognition.

  • Wide Distribution: By making research freely accessible, the journal supports knowledge sharing across global communities, including researchers, students, and practitioners.

  • Encouraging Collaboration: Open access facilitates collaboration across borders and disciplines, promoting sharing of ideas, data, and methodologies.

3. Article Processing Charge (APC)

  • JWA follows an open access model supported by Article Processing Charges (APC). Authors will be asked to pay an APC after their article is accepted for publication.

  • The APC covers editorial services, peer review, and hosting articles on the journal’s website.

  • APC payment is due within ten days of manuscript acceptance and must be made before publication.

4. Rights to Authors

  • Authors retain copyright to their work, but it is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license.

  • Authors are free to distribute, share, and reuse their work in non-commercial contexts. They are also allowed to post the manuscript on institutional repositories or personal websites.

  • Authors can freely engage with and build upon their published work.

5. Post-Publication Archiving

  • Authors are encouraged to archive the post-print version of their article (final version after peer review) on institutional repositories or personal websites.

  • The published version/PDF can also be archived in any repository under the same Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license.

6. License and Copyright

  • The journal’s publication and content are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial (CC BY-NC 4.0) license, allowing others to remix, tweak, and build upon the work non-commercially, with proper attribution.

  • Authors are encouraged to make their work accessible in other digital formats or archives, as long as they adhere to the license terms.
