Author Fee
JWA operates under an open access model and requires an Article Processing Charge (APC) to cover the costs of publication. This fee helps support the journal's editorial processes, peer review, and the publication of high-quality research.
1. Article Processing Charge (APC)
-
APC Amount: Authors are required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) upon acceptance of their manuscript.
-
Payment Deadline: The APC is due within ten days of the editorial acceptance of the manuscript. Payment must be made before the article is officially published.
-
Payment Method: Authors will be provided with instructions on how to process the APC payment after the manuscript is accepted for publication.
2. Advance Payment Option
Authors have the option to make an advance payment of the APC prior to acceptance. However, please note that advance payment does not guarantee the acceptance of the manuscript.
3. Exemption and Discounts
JWA may offer fee waivers or discounts to authors from low-income countries or those facing financial hardship. Authors should contact the editorial office to inquire about potential fee reduction options.
4. Non-Payment Policy
If the APC is not paid within the specified period, the manuscript will not be published, and the article will be withdrawn from the publication queue.
5. Open Access Advantage
The APC ensures that the article will be published under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial (CC BY-NC 4.0) license, making the research freely accessible to a global audience, increasing visibility, and enhancing the impact of the work.
